If you like to use WordPress and keep costs down then Thrive Suite comes bundled with Thrive Quiz Builder which is a very capable quiz and survey building plugin. Thrive Suite also comes with 9 other plugins.
2. Jotform
Jotform is a serious contender on any list.
Founded in 2006 it has 350 employees and they do much more than just surveys.
If you need a form to do something then Jotform is a solid option and can probably do just about anything with it.
3. Typeform
Typeform is another form for every occasion service. Founded in 2012 it has 300 employees to date.
They have a form for everything a hundreds of templates and integrations so you know your surveys will look good and you will be able to do stuff with your data later.
4. Divi Theme
Divi is my landing page builder of choice.
Comes with a robust form module that you could use as an application form.
5. Pabbly
The Pabbly homepage states “Powerful Software Tools to Run Your Business”.
One of the tools they offer is a form builder which would be perfect for building application funnels
6. SurveySparrow
Looks like a solid option for anyone looking to create survey funnels.
They boast features including smart surveys, video surveys, themes, payments and workflows.
They include an API, Webhooks and integrations with all the usual suspects.
7. Survey Monkey
THE most well know survey tool out there has to be Survey Monkey. Founded in 1999 it has to be the 800lb gorilla of the survey market.
Surely you will have been through a SurveyMonkey survey by now!
They are used by everyone from mom and pop stores to multinational corporations.
8. Mailchimp
Mailchimp is one of those companies that seems to have been around forever.
Started as a side project for a web design company who listened to their clients who wanted email services.
Mailchimp is a well respected email service provider.
9. Gravity Forms
Gravity Forms is a very powerful WordPress plugin. If you want to do something with a form then Gravity forms can do it.
It is probably the oldest premium form building WordPress plugin.
10. Formidable Forms
Formidable forms was launched to fill a gap in the market created by Gravity Forms.
It was originally a lifetime license product, which probably allowed it to get an impressive market share.
11. Wufoo Forms
Wufoo forms is from the guys over at SurveyMonkey. So you know there is a very capable team behind the service.
12. Pandadoc
Pandadoc is a document workflow SAAS. The website says they do forms and then you can use that data in documents.
It seems like the perfect solution for an application funnel, use the form to prefilter prospects and generate a contract which the client can then sign online.
13. Getresponse
Getresponse was an email service provider and leads provider back in the day.
It’s good to see that they have evolved over the last decade.
They offer a landing page builder and full websites too and it’s free to get started upto 500 contacts.
14. Google Forms
Google sort of have the monopoly on free tools they have like 2 gazillion employees pumping out software 24/7. Most of it’s absolute rubbish for the end user unless you upgrade. I have it on good authority that this service is pretty good.
